Stand Up Paddle surfing or SUP is a variant of surfing where the surfer uses a paddle to move through the water while standing on a surfboard.
This modern sport is born in the 60s in the Hawaiian Islands.
One reason for the popularity of Stand Up Paddle is that, unlike surfing, learning is very simple. Within an hour of practice, we can already be comfortable in the water and on the board!
It is accessible to everyone, no matter age, size or athletic ability.
It is a demanding physical activity that mobilizes almost all muscle groups of the body.
So when your senior members will be involved to paddle, lower or above limbs them, will do everything to maintain your balance on the board.
SUP promotes good training, ideal for your muscles lap belt but your back-end, resulting in a better hold of the spine.
Practicable on the open ocean, in harbors, on lakes, rivers or any large body of water. And in interacting with nature.
One of the advantages of Stand Up Paddle surfing is the angle of visibility. Because of the standing height over the water we can see both deeper into the water and further across the surface of the water, allowing better visualization of features others lower above the water may not be able to see, whether it is the marine life in the harbors, lakes and coves or the incoming swells of the ocean marching on the horizon.
