Stand Up Paddle surfing or SUP is a variant of surfing where the surfer uses a paddle to move through the water while standing on a surfboard.

This modern sport is born in the 60s in the Hawaiian Islands.

One reason for the popularity of Stand Up Paddle is that, unlike surfing, learning is very simple. Within an hour of practice, we can already be comfortable in the water and on the board!
It is accessible to everyone, no matter age, size or athletic ability.

It is a demanding physical activity that mobilizes almost all muscle groups of the body.
So when your senior members will be involved to paddle, lower or above limbs them, will do everything to maintain your balance on the board.

SUP promotes good training, ideal for your muscles lap belt but your back-end, resulting in a better hold of the spine.

Practicable on the open ocean, in harbors, on lakes, rivers or any large body of water. And in interacting with nature.

One of the advantages of Stand Up Paddle surfing is the angle of visibility. Because of the standing height over the water we can see both deeper into the water and further across the surface of the water, allowing better visualization of features others lower above the water may not be able to see, whether it is the marine life in the harbors, lakes and coves or the incoming swells of the ocean marching on the horizon.

If you're looking for a new challenge, SUP Yoga is available at SoSUP Key Biscayne!

Come and try SUP Yoga or refine your technique!

SUP Yoga will reinvigorate you and help you become calm and healthy. A unique experience while enjoying the natural splendor of floating on water.

Have fun!

We offer you bicycle rentals. You can discover the wonderful Virginia Key Beach Park and you will get the chance to cross raccoons, iguanas, pelicans in this quiet park. The entrance to the park is just 3 minutes from the concession. For most athletes, a mountain bike circuit is proposed.

On the way to Key Biscayne, you can enjoy beautiful walks along Crandon Park. And for the more adventurous, discover the famous Lighthouse of Key Biscayne!

There are four “worlds” at Biscayne National Park: the mangrove shoreline, the waters of the bay, the keys and the coral reefs. Since 95% of Biscayne National Park is water, the majority of animals that live there are associated with ocean or shoreline habitats.

The mangrove shoreline acts as a nursery for all types of land and marine animals. The mangrove swamps also keep the waters of Biscayne Bay clear and sparkling by trapping eroding soil and pollutants from inland sources.

The aquamarine (or turquoise is more accurate) waters of the bay teem with sea stars, sponges, soft corals, hundreds of types of fish and other marine life. A very special resident of Biscayne Bay is the endangered manatee, or sea cow.
